"Word of God speak..."

As much as I enjoy the songs of the Beatles and the words on shirts in Japan, I seek wisdom and truth from the Bible.

I'm a follower of Jesus, and I take his words to heart. Here are some true words of wisdom from my Savior, that we can all use daily...

• “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today." Matthew 6:34
  
  
• “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets." Matthew 7:12
  
  
• “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments." Matthew 22:36-40
  
  
• "Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:43-45
  
  
• "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?" Mark 8:34-37

Dear Lord, thank You so much for sending Jesus to this world to not only teach us how to live, but also to die so that we can live in heaven. Please help us keep his words in mind on a daily basis. Amen.
